Well, I think my underwear would definitely be a taboo for lending to my best friend. Apart from that I think I would not lend out any article of clothing that could end up damaged or “malformed†after its return. For example, in the past I have let my best friend in junior high borrow all types of articles of clothing, including skirts, tank tops, stretchy pants, stocking, and even socks.
Although I had well intentions (as I am sure she did too), some of my clothing came back washed out (because she wore my clothes over and over during the time she had them), with bleach stains, and even stretched out since she typically wore a larger dress size than I did but tried to make my clothes fit (which we were all guilty of at that time). I think today, the most I would let my friends borrow is maybe a sweater or coat, if they forgot their own and were cold. There are also other articles of clothing I would never consider lending to others, including those that would need to be dry cleaned after wearing.
Some items of clothing just seem to promote the spread of bacteria more easily than others (that are easier to sanitize after each use). Of course past failure of friends to return certain clothing back to me has made me somewhat unwilling to continue lending out my clothes to others, since that is always a risk your facing.
First of all, as people have mentioned, anything intimate is right out. Bras, underwear, pajamas, etc. Probably swimsuits. That's just unpleasant to think about.
Other than that, anything that I like enough not to want to get ruined. Like one of the other posters, my sister and I used to share clothes all the time, and she's stretched out a lot of my favorite shirts to the point where they just don't look right on me. And then there's always the chance that I won't get it back at all!
Generally, though, I'm OK with people borrowing most of my clothes occasionally, as long as they don't make it a habitual thing. And as long as I get them back in still-wearable (hopefully perfect) condition.
Yes, my undergarments. I would rather give them than lend them.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
