Michelleldevon I believe we all have this issue. At one time Mahalo had a page counter that gave us 1 point for every 20 pages viewed up to 500 pages and 25 points a day. While this was working we were notified ever 20 pages with "you have just viewed your # page today" notifications and like our other stats pages viewed updated once a day with the additional pages we had viewed that day.
I have not received one of these notifications in a while. The page counting mechanism stopped working correctly right around the time you became a member. I will speculate that this mechanism is being modified for reasons unknown to me or anyone but the staff and will reemerge on our profile working or be removed altogether.
Only time will tell. I have noticed my pages viewed counter will crawl up a page or two every other day but there are some days I view well over a thousand pages here on Mahalo so I have wondered if they are changing the parameters on what exactly is a viewed page, maybe only counting unique pages viewed but with that the pages viewed would still be incorrect on my end. I don't know for sure what is wrong except that the page counter is off or malfunctioning.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
