I'm no expert but the way I see it, it's simply because India's a democracy while China is not. Therefore, the Chinese government had an easier time buckling their people down and controlling them and getting them to work towards development. One argument as to why India did not develop as fast as South Korea: simply, a bigger population.
The people are harder to control, not to mention there's TONS of diff. Ethnic groups and cultures WITHIN the Indian race alone: Hindus, Sikhs, Punjabs, etc. so it will be harder to unite the entire country. South Koreans generally have one national identity w/ one language.
Another one, which to me is MOST convincing but may just be a fluke, would be the theory of climactic determinism (look it up on Wikipedia lol) which says that hot countries will have a harder time developing because their climate encourages laziness. The notable exception would be Singapore, but it is said that climactic determinism can be countered by extreme discipline which, thanks to Lee Kuan Yew, Singapore DID have. Anyway yeah lol that's my take ayyyyy.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
