I think the Tea-Party is a group of very angry and frustrated people who have lost faith in the government process. The recession has dragged on, unemployment remains high, home values are low and there does not appear to be any quick fixes. Their patience is thin and they want results now.
If the economy were booming there would be no Tea-Party movement. Ronald Reagan would have never supported an offshoot 3rd party to resolve these issues. My guess is he would have found a way to unite his party and formulate a plan to offer alternative solutions to what the party in power is offering.
The Tea-Party either does not have “a plan” or they don’t have the right messenger to explain their plan for a better America. For many of them the solution is to throw everyone out of office and start over. That’s like throwing the baby out with the dirty bath water. The party is too narrow minded on some issues , which offends a lot of people.
Ultimately they will split the Republican Party much like Ross Perot did in the early 90s. Essentially helping to re-elect the party they are the angriest with. The Tea-Party will be much like The Reform Party.
Ten years from now they’ll simply be another footnote in political history. Our two party system is here to stay.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
