The Tea Party are a group of highly misinformed individuals who have joined together in a gargantuan effort to use the United States government as a scapegoat for every conceivable problem known to man, even as they faithfully collect benefits and enjoy services provided by that same government. All the while they find strength and fortification by hanging tea bags from their hats, and waving guns and signs about to prove that they gall dern mean business about something or other but fer sure the gov'mnet is involved and they're mad as hell, but by all indications they are really mad as hatters. The mega powered fact that they cannot seem to think deeply enough to wrap their minds around the multi-dimensional complexities of the issues of the day is only out distanced by the sheer brute force with which they adhere to the primitive cultural mores of the dark ages.
They would gleefully force others to celebrate the glories of the Amygdala as they do, for fear and anger serves them well, though others have succeeded in evolving beyond its primitive contribution into the ability to reason with higher mind, and honestly wouldn't want to go back to witch burnings and all of the other little atrocities we managed to survive by the skin of our teeth. So yes, they are first and foremost lying to themselves. And, they're believing it.
It does them no good for the government to assist them in any way. Gov'mnts bad. Period.
I'm sure they're good people who merely want bad things to happen to others, but still, the way they have gone about presenting themselves to our society is childish, over reactionary, forceful and just, well.......as outdated as they are. Skylight 54 months ago.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
