Is the term for Askville users officially "Askviller"?

I was hoping that would catch on. Much punnier. Asked by UltraNurd 50 months ago Similar questions: term Askville users officially Askviller Amazon > Askville.

I like Askvillain! I haven't heard that one before, but I showed up after you left. I'm going to guess that we stopped using it because Askvillain is a sinister pun, and nobody likes bad puns or lefties (haha, Latin root jokes!).

Askvillain is awesome and regardless of whether it sticks, I decree that henceforth I will use it to refer to myself and others. That's how these things get adopted, doncha URL1 decree. Err, usage.

I was wishing for Askvillains too but the blog started calling us Askvillers back in January. I don't think that they made it official but that is the term that they use for us at all times now. At least that is the term that they use in public.

I can't speak for what they might call some of us behind closed doors. Please see January 22 blog post at the link below. Sources: askville-blog.amazon.com/2007/01/index.html .

The powers that be.....seemed to prefer the term "Askviller". And seeing as it's their game, and their ball we are playing with, and even their court, we kind of have to go along with it, at least OFFICIALLY! We can call ourselves whatever we want amongst ourselves, for sure!

Be careful--you might be swept in the group of loyal minions as the new EvilUltraNurd. It's a growing group, very similar to the original Askvillains... This is what could happen to you...

I believe it is I think that Askvillain has all but disappeared. I can't remember if I have heard it before (I joined in late January) but I agree that it has an nice ring to it.

I'm much more of a fan of... Askvillite Askvillacian Askvillian Askvillander Askvillishes Askvillvanians Askvillench Askvillese So I prefer to use all of these randomly and mix 'em up a bunch. Throws people off the scent....of what, I'm not sure...

Askville has a "Askviller of the Day for best answers, should they also have a "Askviller of the Day" for best questions.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
