Politicians such as the likes of Alex Salmond keep fanning the flames of Scottish independence in an attempt to gain more money from the English taxpayer via Westminster. Now we all have to be honest;Scottish Nationalists and English taxpayers alike and ask one basic question. Why doesn't Salmond call a referendum on Scottish independence now?
Is it because it will just evaporate like Loch Ness mist in the noon day sun? Scotland needs English taxpayer more than ever now! And will need them even more in the coming years to finance their burgeoning deficit to finance their ever increasing demands to finance their core programmes of education, health, police, infra structure and benefits when the North Sea oil runs out in 25 years time.
Remember that there are a lot of fair minded people in England who are gradually coming to the conclusion that they cannot jettison Scotland and its problems quick enough and the numbers forming this opinion are swelling by the day as they have to listen to the rantings of Alex Salmond and his bunch of mundane losers.
In the current economic climate Ireland could not survive under the extra weight of having Northern Ireland so it won't cease to be part of the UK for the foreseeable future. Eventually it will though, once the situation in the Republic has calmed down.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
