Is there a good genealogy software that is compatible with Mac and ancestry. Com? I have really been bitten by the bug.

I’m getting a lot of info on ancestry. Com that is working well with info I have at hand. I would just rather have something to work with that isn’t dependent upon being online.

Any other thoughts and suggestions re: research are welcomed. Asked by Mamasunotheremuch 39 months ago Similar questions: genealogy software compatible Mac ancestry Society.

Take a look at MacGenealogy. Org You may want to take a look at macgenealogy.org/ . This site has reviews of multiple Mac genealogy programs.

I also have heard numerous positive reviews for Reunion ( leisterpro.com/ ). Reunion was very popular on Windows PCs a number of years ago, but switched to Mac only and is quite popular there now. I’m still on a Windows PC and use The Master Genealogist ( http://whollygenes.com/ ).

I plan on switching to a Mac in the near future and will be trying out the demo versions of Reunion and several others. I think most of the software vendors have trial versions now. Another option is to install Parallels or VMWare Fusion on your Mac.

Both of these allow you to install Windows and run it concurrently with OS X applications. This would allow you to also consider Windows versions of genealogy programs as well. I suspect someone will jump in here and say just use BootCamp (which is built into OS X), but that requires rebooting to switch back and forth from OS X to Windows.

Here is an indepent site that has reviewed multipe genealogy packages although it doesn't appear to have been updated recently ( http://www.mumford.ca/reportcard/ ). Good luck with your research. 63swc's Recommendations Reunion 9, Genealogy and Family Tree Software for Macintosh Amazon List Price: $99.00 Average Customer Rating: 5.0 out of 5 (based on 8 reviews) The Master Genealogist Gold Edition Amazon List Price: $99.99 Average Customer Rating: 3.5 out of 5 (based on 10 reviews) Parallels Desktop 3.0 for Mac (Intel Mac) Amazon List Price: $79.99 Used from: $49.99 Average Customer Rating: 3.5 out of 5 (based on 261 reviews) .

" "Good genealogy software for MacOSX." "I have digital camera software that is only compatible to a PC. I just bought a MAC. Is there a place I can get.." "Is there software for Mac that teaches typing?

How much time does a mac take to update software.

I have digital camera software that is only compatible to a PC. I just bought a MAC. Is there a place I can get..

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
