I am more than happy to help you out with your Disney World question as it's our families favorite place to go on vacation! We are headed down in a couple months. Can't wait!

:) We love downtown Disney. As for hotels, there are quite a few near Downtown Disney. I remember seeing them last time we were there thinking how close they were.

This being said, you wouldn't be 'On Resort'. Therefore the Disney World buses to get to and from Disney resorts and parks are not available to you. For me, this makes a difference, as we love the resorts.

The closest Disney resort would either be Old Key West Resort (which is a deluxe resort) or either the Port Orleans or Caribbean beach Resort. These are both Moderate resorts. As for off resort hotels there are Hotel Royal Plaza, Holiday Inn in the Walt Disney World Resort, The Regal Sun Resort (former Grosvenor), Doubletree Guest Suites Resort, Best Western Lake Buena Vista Resort Hotel, and Buena Vista Palace Hotel and Spa.

These claim they are in walking distance to Downtown Disney. For us, and I offer this advice only if you are going on a budget. We have been watching out for the Free Dining that Disney World has been offering.

We snatched it up for December. We are staying at a Value Resort (We love All Star Movies, but there is also All Star Music, All Star Sports, and Pop Century), and we can bus it to Downtown Disney. I'm guessing the ride is 10 mins maybe.

But we got to look around and see a lot while going there. It's the cheapest bet I can offer if the amount is in question. Also, the Quick Service Dining Plan which we are getting for free, will work at some of the restaurants in Downtown Disney.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
