Is there a market for brand name twitter names? For example say you have the twitter handle Dillards, wouldn't the store want it?

I think there is a market for it but it may be tricky to work out prices and the market could be affected by Twitter at any time. Mahalo CEO Jason Calacanis reported in his video podcast This Week In Startups (TWIST) that he offered money to the owner of @jason twitter account or alternatively "favors" because Calacanis is well connected in the internet entrepreneurship world. Apparently the account holder opted for the favors!

There is already twitter account name squatting activity. This "business" is not widely respected and is compared with domain name squatting where the domain name for a company is registered by someone who thinks they can sell it to that company for more. Another guest on TWIST, professional poker player Annie Duke reported that she had to take @realannieduke twitter.com/REALANNIEDUKE because @annieduke was taken.

Calacanis offered to use his connections in Twitter to acquire the @annieduke account as it was apparently not being used and was presumably only an attempt to make money out of Annie Duke.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
