Is there a way to purge old questions that will never get answered but sit at the top of category pages?

Great question and as far as I know the only ways we have to get these questions out of the category or at least off the list of questions to be answered is to either answer them or report them to Mahalo by describing why we think they are irrelevant or unanswerable in the report box so they can remove these bad, irrelevant, or non-questions.

They might be irrelevant to you, but some can be good questions. Some can be hard just because the right person didn't read them yet. I answered questions from 1 year ago.

I advocate for keeping all the questions, answered and unanswered. They are source of knowledge However, I agree that those of old age should not be kept on the top of page but somewhere less intrusive.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
