Oh, yes! Explanation follows.... Just below the words (here above) "Provide more details for your answer", there is a MS-type tool bar. Click on the icon that looks like this: (yes, I had to do that to insert this image just on the left ).
This dialog box appears. Either put in the url from an image you’ve found on the net, or (as you are wanting to do) click on Browse and navigate to the image stored on your computer that you want to use. B.t.w.
Askville wants . Jpg images (can’t remember offhand what the other image type is, but I know it isn’t . Png).
Up will pop a dialog box. Here it is (as a screen shot, showing the result for me navigating to find an image): Once you’re fine with the image to be uploaded, click on the Upload Now button and Askville does its stuff. When finished, there appears a little box to be clicked: Fine, you’re almost there ^_^ (I prefer text smileys, they’re less intrusive, I think ^_^) So click on the OK button, and...... here comes the decision-time box.
If you’re happy with the way things are, just click Done. If not, choose other buttons first. I’ve put all the big images here in this answer as aligned right.
You can click back into your answer to see clearly what you have done, and find the Image Properties box again from your taskbar if you want change the Image Properties that you set. (I’m assuming, that like me, you’re using Windows, don’t know the stuation for macs etc. ) When you’re content, click Done, and it is done! So now, as I have done here, you can litter your answers with pictures, probably prettier and more exciting than these ones.
* Oh why not, seeing I’m taking up so much time and space, let me give you a pretty one too: Sources: Asdkville exploration and experience! ^_^ .
Photos You probably have a lot of great answers by now, but if I add this one more I think it will close the question for voting. So I will do that! Anyway, it's so easy to add a photo.
See that little yellow landscape button on the top of the tool bar when you write a message? Just click that. A box will open up and give you two options; one to link to a photo online, or to upload one from your computer.
I'll bet several people have included screen shots in their answers already, do I won't bother! To upload one of your own photos, click on the browse button in that box and select the photo you want from your computer, and click on the upload button. That's pretty much it!
It will give you the option to resize the photo, but you can also do that by clicking on the photo and pushing the edges in or out to get it the size you want. If you don't like the photo you upload after all, just click on it, then hit delete on your keyboard--and it's gone! *Poppet*'s Recommendations Beautiful Cookies Party Favors-Picture Cookies Cookies, 10 Cookies When you get a chance please upload some of these photo cookies for everyone who answered your question, please!
LOL! .
There are two ways to do this 1. Copy the picture from a site or one of your files. You would do that by going to the top corner of the image, right click and hold the right mouse button, drag the curser accross the image, left click, the picture will highlight, select copy, then go to the answer and right click and select paste.
The next way would be to copy the link to a Web site. Go to your address bar at the top of the screen or directly to the site’s Web link(copy shortcut for Web links),right click, select copy the select paste. photos.com/ I like to do that under every important detail in an answer, like if I were to quote the FAQ "my quote" then askville.amazon.com/askville/faq.html I’m sure that there is some way to attch entire files containing images from you computer, butI’m not sure how you’d do that without first uploading that file to the Internet.
That can be done here, then you would copy the shortcut and paste it to your answer. bubbleshare.com/ Sources: Askville and experience BrainBuilder_is_gone's Recommendations Photobot - Picture Correction Software This software can help you change the photo to the appropriate format.
Yes you can If you look in the toolbar that's above this textbox where you type your answers you'll see a series of icons. The one you're looking for is near the middle, and it looks like a yellowish rectangle containing two grey triangles and another small square. And since a picture is worth a thousand words, I've circled it in the image on the right.
If you were referring to a way to add photos to the questions you ask, there is no direct route, but if you first upload your photo to a sharing service such as fotki.com you'll be able to provide a link to the image either in the question details (preferable) or in a post on the discussion page. I hope that helps with what you're trying to do.
1 I don't want to waste one of your answers but if I need to, I copy and paste the picture into the answer. I didn't know if that is what you were looking for but I hope it helps.
