I am doing a documentary for my co-op, I plan to sell it at the end of the year, and my writing teacher insists that she knows of a way to use copyrighted music in a movie for free. But she won't tell me what it is because she wants me to research it. I've been all over and all I see is "you have to pay the fee", or "you have to ask permission".
Is there a way to do it free and legal or not? Asked by BoB348530 35 months ago Similar questions: publicly music amateur movie FREE Entertainment > Music.

2 Searcg for the same music in midis: Midis are copywrite free, and are an interesting item to use: Midis normally do not have an artist singing the music, rather the basic music itself: This is where to start! Also, some produced music with an artist singing are allowed by the artist to be used, but in some cases non commercial use only: Such as home movies: Again, one must search for these also and Google works well. Normally, music that is new releases are never available: Nor ones from the most reknowed artists: Again, time spent searching for ones they do allow is worth the effort. So your teacher is correct: And, is also correct it takes searcing and reading and learning.
Moreover even a very few select midis are liable if used commercially in a production: The best know for this is the "Happy Birthday" song and music which is absolutely copy protected in every form, and they do take people to Court "if" it is used in any commercail manner whatsoever and they discover it was used commercially. Again, search, learn and read to gain knowledge.Blessings........Annlee .

3 Of course, some music is not under copyright. But the fact is that MarshallO is not completely correct. One can use copyrighted content in some circumstances - read about "fair use".
If you hope to profit from the movie, then this will be a major flaw, probably excluding the fair use option. Even using only a few seconds of a piece may be restricted from what I've read.

Where can I get free music limewire shut down.
What do people say about loading free music.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
