Yes, depending on what outputs your computer's video card has. If your video card has an S-video output that can hook up to your TV, or if you have a newer TV that has HDMI, DVI, or D-sub inputs, then you can hook your computer up to display its video on your TV. After that you can stream netflix videos or play DVDs, and the video output will display on your TV.

Good luck! .

1 there sure is; thats what I've been doing for the last 6+months. $9 a month / single disc unlimited plan and I get as many streaming downloads that I want. The trick is you need a TV that will accept a computer video connection, normally that would mean an HD TV.

Connecting your computer to an older standard Def TV is a little harder and may require the addition of a scan converter. But to be honest, getting a Roku box may be the simplest solution to your problem; as the Roku boxes have standard TV outputs just like a DVD player, etc. And the Roku should be a whole lot quieter than running a dedicated computer, and it comes with a remote.

2 That is exactly what I have...a laptop with an s-video 'out' cable connected directly to my old (non-hd) tv, that has an s-video "in" connection. I get the one dvd ata a time, and all the downloads I want...Works great! .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
