Is there a wider variety of desktop computers or laptop computers?

You can use an external USB wired or wireless mouse with out disabling the touch pad. To change the touch pad settings go to desk top, click control panel, click hardware and sound, click mouse under devises and printer, and change or adjust settings or enable or disable etc.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
