I have met quite a few women whose mothers were taking the early high estrogen birth control pills in the 1960s after they became pregnant - ALL these women ended up with uterine septum which had to be surgically corrected before they could get pregnant themselves. There should be research on this but it seems that so many people are so invested in preventing unwanted pregnancy that even asking this question is frowned upon. Can anyone point me in a direction where there might be some info?

In regular life...people's hormones may also be off also. I would not continue the Pill if you think you are pregnant...just do other birth control.
No. There has been some evidence that taking birth control during early pregnancy caused a smaller weight baby, but it was not proven, and there is no evidence that bc pills cause birth defects. Here's a link to some info from the Mayo Clinic about this issue.

Continue the Pill if you think you are pregnant...just do other birth control. Um, if you are pregnant, wouldn't birth control be unnecessary? .
Please read the rest of my post. I AM NOT currently pregnant nor am I taking BC while pregnant. I have met through my job more then 10 women whose own mothers in the 1960s-70s took birth control pills for 1 to 4 months AFTER they had conceived these women and all these women were infertile because of uterine septum or other issues.
I am looking for research regarding the birth defects caused by the use of birth control after conception. There must be some effect since it is not normal for the female body to have extremely high synthetic estrogen on board with normal pregnancies. I am looking for research or others who have taken note of this situation.
Thank you for letting me clarify my query. Again, I am not currently pregnant and I AM NOT using BC while pregnant. DodiJensen 4 months ago .
Since a uterine septum is a pretty common abnormality (estimated in 3-5% of female population), it would be pretty difficult to determine the cause of it. And, that is just an estimate from those who had recurrent miscarriages or found "by accident" that they had a septum, so the percentage could be much higher. A friend of mine had one (with recurrent miscarriages) and she was born in 1975, her mother never was on birth control during pregnancy or before for that matter. So, there is probably NO documentation at this time.
But, it would be a good research project for someone to start. Alissa, RN .
I stopped taking birth control pill and have a question about possibilities of pregnancy.
Taking birth control pills while pregnant in the 1960's.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
