I don't know of any studies about traits correlated with remembering your dreams. I can't think of any demographic that couldn't remember their dreams. If you can imagine, you can remember your dreams.

And, by the way, you always dream.

I think remembering dreams has to be a conscious effort. When I was 10 years old, I became fascinated with dreams -- lucid dreams, the meaning of dreams, etc. So I actually bought a book that talks about how to remember them. One method is to try to write down as much detail about your dreams every morning when you wake up.

In the beginning, you'll realize you have very little to write. If you do this as a frequent exercise, you'll start being able to remember more and more of your dreams. Personally, this isn't always a good thing - nowadays, I remember quite a bit, sort of like memories.

There are some dreams I definitely wish I never had.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
