The motherboard doesn't matter really. Most computers are very flexible when I comes to gpus. As long as your graphics arent integrated you should be fine.

However another power supply will most likely be needed to use it.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
