I'm not a forensic scientist, but I have made an observation that it is a lot harder to get a job lately. The more education in your field that you have, the more likely you are to get that job over someone with just a bachelor's degree. If you specialize yourself in something in graduate school, and a company needs someone with that specialization, then you will get picked over other people.
You will gain a lot of really helpful skills in graduate school. That's why I'm in graduate school now -- I'm not really qualified for many jobs with just a bachelor's because I don't have the skills that most companies are looking for. I'm sorry I couldn't give you more information (especially in the salary aspect), but I hope I've given you some perspective.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
