Isn't the Republican solution to getting people off of food stamps simply...kicking them off?

Nothing that has to do w/the Welfare system is fair! Is it fair that a woman w/1 child that decides not to work gets CS, small amount of cash aid, $300+/mth food stamps, government housing (or rental assistance), free medical, etc. When the same woman w/1 child decided that she needs to work...and can't get a dam thing from them...because she makes too much money working. Or some1 that has a minor disability get full SSI benefits when some1 that has had a life long disability cant even get a handicap parking permit?

Real fair there! The whole dam system needs overhauled! And FAST!

In order to get Medi-Cal and food stamps and cash aid he would have to be in a certain category under your county Medi-Cal guidelines. I am in California too. He has to have small kids, a pregnant wife, some disability, be a new immigrant, under 21, over 65, one of those to get on Medi-Cal, so how did he qualify?

How does he make it living on $300 a month if that is his way to go?

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
