It is the AMERICAN WAY or UN-American to FORCE employees to join a union (teacher, police, parks, government)?

Do away with unions only if you are trying to reduce American workers to Chinese wages. Do you hate Americans so much that that is your goal? So no, I don't agree.

I love this country and its workers. Unions – The people who brought you the weekend. Workers Losing in the War on Middle Class http://republicandirtytricks.com/workers... "The strongest bond of human sympathy outside the family relation should be one uniting working people of all nations and tongues and kindreds." ~ Abraham Lincoln "Labor is prior to, and independent of, capital.

Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if Labor had not first existed. Labor is superior to capital, and deserves much the higher consideration." ~ Abraham Lincoln "With all their faults, trade unions have done more for humanity than any other organization of men that ever existed. They have done more for decency, for honesty, for education, for the betterment of the race, for the developing of character in men, than any other association of men." ~ Clarence Darrow "Only a fool would try to deprive working men and working women of their right to join the union of their choice." ~ Dwight D.

Eisenhower "Although it is true that only about 20 percent of American workers are in unions, that 20 percent sets the standards across the board in salaries, benefits and working conditions. If you are making a decent salary in a non-union company, you owe that to the unions. One thing that corporations do not do is give out money out of the goodness of their hearts." ~ Molly Ivins.

When public employee compensation is generally less than what people earn for similar work in the private sector, I don't really see the need for that. If you want to cut departmental budgets, cool. But making it an issue of employee compensation won't solve your problem, it just punishes the employees for something they are not to blame for.

Government workers are often willing to take moderate pay cuts when budgets get tight, but if you cut their pay enough, they'll leave, and you'll like the people who replace them much, much less.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
