Itchy, Dry Skin After A Shower?

The "trick" is not usually the body wash. It may be because you are either showering too often or showering in extremely hot water. (I love it super hot so I've been through the same dry skin thing.) The best thing to do is try and keep your showers to 10 minutes, reduce the scalding temp and apply a cocoa butter lotion immediately after every shower.

I keep mine right next to the Q-tips! Hope that helps!

Winter weather gets itchy, dry and sometimes even scaly. It is a combination of the reaction of your skin to the cold weather and the heated indoor environment. Let me give ao tip that are easy and fast, and might resolve your problem.

I have used this "remedy" after reading about it in a magazine and the result is unreal! Super silky skin you can live in.

1- Get yourself some sweet almond oil or any oil that will not make you smell like a salad bowl.

4- Small plastic bowl where you can mix your ingredients (you wll not be using it for food, but it could be an empty margarine tub).

Put your sugar in the margarine tub and close the lid. Go into your shower and get wet, grab your mitt, and wet it a little bit, mix the sugar with some of the oil and smear the mitt with it, then scrub your whole body with the mixture. Rinse and then just shower as usual.

Your dead skin will be removed gently by the sugar while the oil will act as an emollient. Feel the difference! DO NOT USE this if you are a diabetic.

Otherwise, it will just give you a wonderfully silky and comfortable skin.

I had that this same problem and I agree that it can be caused by the water being to hot. It can also be down to the shower gel that you are using. I switched to Johnsons baby products and I love how kind they are to my skin, I use the soap and the shower gel and the bubble bath.

I also use the talc and moisturizer after. They are designed for babies skin so you can imagine how well they work. Also you could try using palmers cocoa butter before you go to bed.

And a old trick for soft skin is to lather olive oil on once a week.

Another tip for keeping a moisturized body, is to simply pat dry your body with your towel, and then immediately use a good, thick moisturizer. The fact that the skin is still damp, and not completely dry will help to keep the moisture in.

Try shower gels with added moistariser or apply olive oil immediately after the shower. Try Dove shower gel or another brand but make sure it has well balance pH level.

Dove soap and shower gel are good and inexpensive. Followed by a good moisturizer. If you can spend a bit more money a shower gel containing tea tree oil is the best solution to stop dryness and itchiness.

Try Eucerin for a week, and after that, maintain with baby oil.

Try lowering the temperature of your water and switch from regular shower wash to baby bath and shampoo. Then after the shower, apply baby oil at night in the day use baby lotion.

If you read the ingredients of your regular shower gel, there are probably things listed that no one can pronounce that can make your skin dry and itchy.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
