Yes. I think the movie was made because Howard Hughes had the hots for her.

Howard Hughes invents a bra that tries to have it both ways. That garment was the real star of the movie (why dya think she spent time doing bra commercials? ) .

Yep I do remember - I was addicted to old movies as a kid. Blue babysitter. I saw them all and I remember my parents talking about it.

I never saw that movie The Outlaw. I know as a kid my father liked Jane Russel but I guess every man did uh? I did find this link that tells you everthing you ever wanted to know about the movie.

From what I gather it was banned in New York of all places. Something about 20min of a racey love scene that had to be cut. I am sure by todays standards that love scene was nothing.

It was her bosom flooding the silver screen long before cinemascope came into fashion. The prudish censors at the time of the premiere of "The Outlaw" just could not absorb the fact that some women are just full-figured. Rhine44 10 months ago .

Those prudish censors would be rolling over in their graves knowing what we show today.

On that link it says that Howard Hughes actually designed a bra for her to wear since she was so well endowed.

Years ago Harold Robbins wrote a book called "The Carpetbaggers" which was later turned into a movie that centered on Howard Hughes. You should read the book. But don't rent the movie!

I read that book many many years ago. I remember sitting on the subway on my way to work in Manhattan reading "The carpetbaggers. "Book was great, the movie stunk!

:) .

Great movie and to much cleavage....lol for the times .

There is never enough of too much cleavage. :-) rhine44 10 months ago .

She was beautiful, and yes Howard did indeed design the "push up bra" for her..you could see everything but the nipples..... the other reason was the "sounds" coming from behind the wall in the barn during the "love scene". Shocked.... We thought the world was surely coming to an end...... can you imagine what we thought when they told us they were going to put a man on the moon! .

Looks like I've found another Turner Classic Movie fan. :-) rhine44 10 months ago .

I have never seen a turner movie , we do not have movie channels on our tv...I remember it because I saw it and her and read the newspaper at the time it was happening.

I can't remember the title of a movie from the 40s or 50s where a man proves his ability to make a fortune from nothing.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
