I can't offer you a reason why songs are chosen. But it may be that they were making an effort to emphasize the superior role of Jehovah, the Father, because so many other Churches ignore Jehovah and give all their worship to Jesus. Jehovah's Witnesses believe that Jesus is both Lord and Savior.
There! Now it's in print. But when you read the Gospel accounts you get a true sense of how important it was for Jesus to give the glory to his Father.
No honest hearted person can read those accounts and not see that. Even when Jesus was given glory, he gave it to Jehovah. God has put his Son in Messianic power since 1914.
He is in charge, by his Father's decree. The preaching work is being directed and blessed by him. And when the end events begin to take place, Jesus will be in charge of the angelic forces.
The Scripture you quote at Phil 2:9-11 is interesting for a couple of reasons. First, notice that it is God who exalts Jesus. And at the end of those verses, every knee should bend to the Son and every tongue should openly acknowledge that Jesus is Lord.
But does it end there? No, it concludes that those acts of honor not only bring glory to Jesus but also to the glory of God the Father.
The Watchtower Society never minimizes Jesus. I'm sorry but on this occasion that is all I care to say in response to this ridiculous accusation. You (or the dodgy site you got this rubbish from) is really clutching at straws here.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
