Jehovahs Witnesses,If I open my King James Version and read Acts 20:28,am I reading the Word of God?

Not a Jehovah's Witness but what you're reading are the words of Paul, of course Paul was preaching as instructed by Christ and of course the entire Bible is inspired by God. So what say you; yes, no or both?

Paul, when addressing the elders of Ephesus, introduced another activity of “Pay attention to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the holy spirit has appointed you overseers, to shepherd the congregation of God, which he purchased with the blood of his own Son. ” (Acts 20:28) Yes, congregation overseers, or elders, are appointed by holy spirit. In what way?

In that appointed elders must meet the qualifications outlined in the inspired Bible. (1 Timothy 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-9) They can develop those qualifications only with the help of holy spirit. Further, the body of elders that recommends a new elder prays for the guidance of holy spirit to discern whether he meets the qualifications or not.

And the actual appointment is made under the supervision of the spirit-anointed faithful and discreet slave Same Bible as all but most impotent name left out and flowery .

In Greek however the verse which reads "dia tou haimatos tou idiou " literally is translated 'through the blood of his own'.

Further some bible scholars suggest the possibility that the original text indeed included the noun since one early (ca. 250-299 A.D.): "...to the Church of the Lord, `which he has purchased with the blood of Christ, the beloved...'" Although the UBS Committee didn't actually commit itself one way or another it did mention that "some have thought it to be a slight probability that tou idiou is used here as the equivalent of tou idiou huiou `his own Son'. " - p.481.It is for the above reasons that the RSV's also renders Acts 20: 28: "the church of God which he obtained with the blood of his own son or `beloved'" 1971 ed. And other bible also do the same.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
