He became our sin for us. I'll explain it this way: When you were a real little kid, let's say you broke your mother's vase. Maybe there was some sort of punishment for you so that you would learn not to do it again, but ultimately your mom had to pay for the new vase.
You were a little child and had no way of making money to pay her for it, so she had to pay the price. We sinned against our Creator, and we cannot pay the price. He therefore paid it for us.
The price for our sin was death. Jesus died on the behalf of all sinners who would call on him for salvation from the penalty of their sin. Simple enough?
What I've never been able to get anyone to properly support to me is that Jesus supposedly died to wipe out our sins, yet Christianity still asserts that you will be eternally damned for...sinning. What exactly did this dude get waxed for then? Also, not much of a sacrifice if you know you are coming back and then strolling on to "paradise" forever.
That kind of thing is what got me kicked out of Sunday school when I was a teenager.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
