You don't understand a basic fact: The British monarch is not paid to be monarch. The British monarch is responsible for all personal expenses. Only official royals receive an allowance to pay for official expenses of the monarchical government.
The Queen and Philip are the only royals who receive Civil List money. Charles, Camilla, William, Catherine, Anne, Edward, Andrew, Harry and Sophie receive only Grant in Aid money to fund official travel expenses. Office workers, office expenses, security are paid through a very small amount of taxes, through the Civil List.
And the monarch pays the money back through revenues earned through the Crown Estate. The Civil List payments are no longer going to be used next year and the money used to fund the monarchy will come straight from the Crown Estate. http://www.thecrownestate.co.uk The number of official royals is also being cut back.
Charles would like the officials to be the monarch, the monarch's spouse, the heir and the heir's family only. But Charles will have to wait till it is his turn to reign to cut out his brothers and sister from performing official roles. Most Britons like the royal family and don't mind the small tax paid, but starting next year, the royals will no longer be receiving Civil List and Grant in Aid, and completely fund itself using revenues earned from the Crown Estate.
http://www.royal.gov.uk/TheRoyalHousehol... On 1 April 2012 the arrangements for the funding of The Queen’s Official Duties changed. The new system of funding, referred to as the ‘Sovereign Grant’, replaces the Civil List and the three Grants-in-Aid (for Royal Travel, Communications and Information, and the Maintenance of the Royal Palaces) with a single, consolidated annual grant. The Sovereign Grant is designed to be a more permanent arrangement than the old Civil List system, which was reign-specific.
Funding for the Sovereign Grant comes from a percentage of the profits of the Crown Estate revenue (initially set at 15%). The grant will be reviewed every five years by the Royal Trustees (the Prime Minister, the Chancellor of the Exchequer and the Keeper of the Privy Purse), and annual financial accounts will continue to be prepared and published by the Keeper of the Privy Purse. The new system provides for the Royal Household to be subject to the same audit scrutiny as other government expenditure, via the National Audit Office and the Public Accounts Committee.

The British public does NOT financially support the Royal Family The people who perpetuate the myth, are ignorant republicans, intent on lying to get their views across and the various trolls, who, for their own pleasure (yes I know, simple minds and all that) do exactly the same thing. There is one other group of people, those who just parrot what others have parroted before them, not in a malicious manner but, in a mistaken belief that what people have said before, is true. I have pointed out, to the same people over and over again, when they say that "their (the Royals) lifestyle is funded by the taxpayer" that it just isn't true but, they persist in the same tired, worn out assertion that the Royals lifestyle is funded by the taxpayer therefor, what they say is no longer a mistake, it is a deliberate lie.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
