Tom and Sher,I know of no company or consistent source that deals in used grain bins. If there is such a thing, it's likely to be a small, regional outfit. However, I can give you some likely places to check for used bins.
Keep an eye on local or regional farm and ranch papers and magazines. Farm and even some estate auctions would also be worthwhile. Talk to local contractors of various kinds, and see if they know anyone who deals with bins, and might be willing to help you keep an eye out for the kind and size you want.
Word of mouth is still the best advertising, so let locals know what you're after. It just might be that someone has some bins they wouldn't mind getting rid of, but isn't advertising. I hope this helps.
I'm not terribly familiar with the Lawrence KS area, so cannot offer more specific suggestions. - Joy.
Thank You Joy, your input is really appreciated . We do have a local farm type ag paper we keep our eye on. There are a few for sale on E Bay but they tend to be in remote areas where it would not be cost efficient to do or relocate.
We will keep all this mind in our searches. Thank you. Cheers,TG,SG.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
