JqGrid formatter and sortable column - doesn't sort?

Internally, jqGrid uses unformat to get the value of the cell.

Try to debug using Firebug and check what the server is receiving. Use sortable: true.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
