The record label you want to audition for is up to you. This is a decision you have to make. Sending CDs and Emails is definitely not recommended.
You will have a better chance of having them see your audition if you actually fly over and show them what you can do in person. If you aren't able to get a plane, then the next best thing to do is set up a YouTube account and upload weekly/monthly videos of yourself making covers in korean/english. If you gain lots of popularity, fans, and positive feedback... maybe record labels will be finding you rather than you finding them.
It's very unlikely that you will reach success through youtube though and I think you should just give the mailing audition thing a go. I have never auditioned before so I don't know if they will be providing tickets and a hotel... it's very unlikely though. Your mom can accompany you if she wants.
Many singers audition with songs by Adele such as Rolling In The Deep. I think you should do a little researching for a song to audition. You want a song that flows with your voice and it has to be something you can handle.
Being able to be a kpop singer is very unlikely... I'm sorry to say. It has gotten so much competitive and they expect a lot from you. So many people fail to make it as a finalist... They don't just let anyone in or else there would be a billion rookies in the industry by now.
You need to be unique. You need to have talent. You need to have looks.
They set really high standards and if you don't fit them, then you just won't make it.
Kpop, it's too far a dream, esp when your talent isn't like eg. Park Ji Min (the one who sang adele's rolling in the deep) or if you can't really dance. Looks wise they alw have plastic surg. Teens these days are too unrealistic.
Just saying.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
