1080p" might be a problem. If your monitor can't handle high resolutions, it will refuse to display anything. If you run other things at that resolution, then that's obviously not the problem If you hit the start key, alt-f4, control-alt-delete, escape, etc., what happens?

Does it do anything or does it lock your computer up? If you can exit the game, then it's most likely a setting that your video card or monitor doesn't like. If you can't do anything, you might want to see if there are any updated video card drivers for your video card.

It might be a bug that causes your computer to lock up Plus the obvious, try re-installing the game and see what happens.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
