They don't care at all about the Palestinians and never have. All they care about is knowing that an ally of the US be betrayed for no defensible reason at all. If that means that the Palestinians should suffer under a tyrannical terrorist organization such as Hamas then they are quite happy.
As for Saudi Arabia, most of them couldn't even find it on a map and if their "professors" indoctrinate them to hate it they will, just like they hate Israel and for the same hollow reasons. If they are programmed to ignore Saudi Arabia then they will ignore it. For now, ignoring it is the order of the day.
When Saudi Arabia was our ally in the fight against Saddam Hussein they were programmed to hate it which they most certainly did. It is just plain despicable the way these impressionable, idealistic, young students are taken advantage of by leftist professors and twisted into hating America and all of its allies.
There are many liberal organizations that routinely condemn Saudi Arabia and other arab nations for thier human rights record. It is oil focussed conservatives that give them a free pass. And no matter what Saudi Arabia may be guilty of, at present they are not illegally occupying another nation's sovereign territory.
So your comparison is invalid anyway.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
