I live in the vicinity of Staunton and am worried about potential impacts the park’s development could have on my water quality and supply. What is being done to protect my water?

Staunton State Park will have no detrimental effects on water quality or supply. Residents in the immediate vicinity as well as those downstream of Staunton State Park will not witness any change in either the quality or quantity of water. State Parks is proposing use of their water rights to access water from new wells to be completed.

State Parks will conform to all requirements and restrictions of their water rights so as not to consume more than their decreed amount of water. Wastewater treatment methods proposed for the Park will also be designed in strict compliance with the State of Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment’s rules and regulations. This will ensure that the groundwater beneath the Park (source of water for downstream users) is not contaminated as a result of the wastewater treatment methods proposed for the park.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
