It's baffling that there are any gay Republicans left at all. Clearly, they feel that the rest of the Republican platform is more important to them. To me, that would be less about gay rights in and of themselves, as about the contempt for individual liberty.

I can imagine a homosexual being willing to vote for a party that opposed gay rights if it agreed with them in enough of their other priorities; it need not be a litmus test issue. But it's hard to imagine that the party can oppose something as obviously just as gay rights without also making you suspicious about their overall level of paranoia and xenophobia. They fear everybody who's different, including other Americans (especially if they're also poor).

It was widely reported in 2010 that homosexual rights groups did not campaign for Democrats to punish them for not working hard enough on gay marriage. I hope they feel soundly chastized for what happened.

If I knew nothing other than how he acted as Speaker of the House, I would never vote for him. If I had to choose between him and the other Republican would-be candidates for President, I choose any of the others and I don't want any that I've seen elected to that office.

By putting them down; by discounting their contribution to society. I do it all the time to those with (in my opinion) delusions. Schelli 15 days ago .

Because some will anyway. Schelli 14 days ago .

Well, for once, he is giving good advice. Under the GOP and Gingrich, should he be elected, he will be marginalized, and certainly they will try to undo the same sex marriage law. I'd thank him; he finally told the truth.

LOL! " "For those who are not religious, do you feel marginalized by election politics where the candidates are "Christian"?..." "Who is up for some "Political Humor"? Thats as far as I go discussing "Politics" I've seen how dangerous it can be LOL.." "Okay so did they win or not?

No one told me that! Lol" "Are you a hard-core Partisan? Or would you vote outside your political party for the "better" candidate?

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
