Looking for a low cost way to make "flip charts" for classroom emergencies?

Looking for a low cost way to make "flip charts" for classroom emergencies. I work for a school district and we are looking at putting "flip charts" into each classroom. They need to be durable and each page needs to be easily changed for updates.

Topics in the chart would include: tornado, fire, intruder ect... Asked by newbie770295 59 months ago Similar questions: low cost make flip charts classroom emergencies Education & Reference.

Laminate pages - use keyrings. I have two thoughts here of what your final product will be - not sure which you have in mind. Hope this helps!

The first one is smaller than 8 1/2 x 11 inches (one regular sheet of copy paper). This would be used as a reference book. Copy and laminate the pages, then hole punch them.

Run the hole-punched pages through key rings to complete the hinge. The second one is big, and used to display information to an entire class. Produce the signs and laminate the paper as before, but before laminating, tape some metal rings to the edge of the paper where the holes will go.

After laminating, punch through the metal rings to finish the holes. Now you have strong supports capable of holding the weight of large pieces of laminated paper. Again, key rings are a nice way of holding everything together, or attach to an easel.

Binders and Plastic Page Protectors My recommendation is to use 3-ring binders (maybe half-inch size) or if you want to spend less, paper or plasic report covers or portfolio folders with fasteners so you can add things that are 3-hole punched and then fill them with plastic sheet protectors. The plastic sheet protectors also come in a variety of wieghts depending on how durable you want it and when you need to update the information all you would have to do is print out a new sheet and leave it in the teachers’ mailboxes for them to replace in their classroom’s binder. To make the charts easier to flip through, I would suggest tabs.

You could either have them color coded or write the names of the charts on them. I selected some Amazon products as examples, but you can probably find more at your local office supply store. I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
