Let me try to explain this but please have her tested be a hematologist (for the blood disorder) and a rheumatologist to rule out systemic lupus erythematosus. Lupus anticoagulant is a blood disorder that CAUSES the blood to clot. People who have lupus anticoagulant are given blood thinners.

If they do not take blood thinners and have their levels monitored regularly, they are likely to make blood clots that can cause a heart attack or stroke. Please take her to a hematologist. She should have an anitphospholipid antibody syndrome panel.

If you get her evaluated and follow the treatment plan you can prevent permanent damage. Lupus is an autoimmune disease. That means her immune system cannot tell the difference between germs and healthy parts of herself.

You cannot get lupus from having many colds. You can't be a carrier of this disease. Lupus makes it easier for you to catch many colds and makes it harder for you to get better.

Honestly, you do not have evidence that she no longer has this. It does not go away on its own. Get her evaluated.
