With many twists of the facts, science can convince any of those who are willing to give them credence. To many of the advocates of science, it's just a matter of manipulating the FACTS in a manner that is "understandable" to those who seem deficient. Without totally understanding the "Evolution Theory" or "Anthropogenic Climate Change Theory" themselves, there are many that "press on" without having a complete understanding themselves, but they'll surely call people "ignorant", "stupid", "closed-minded", or even describe someone's "cavity where a brain is suppose to be".
ELITE people (people who will break their arms just so they can give themselves a better 'pat on the back') will always denigrate those who will not adhere to their ELITIST viewpoint. BOTTOM LINE : They CAN"T explain either of the 2 with any degree of accuracy simply because the meaning of the word "science" has been twisted from "the study of" to "absolute belief based on new-found evidence that is backed by previously accepted evidence". It's the classic scientific-ELITIST mentality.
Arrogance backed by a pat on the back from other ELITISTS. The definition of "life" doesn't change, but the interpretation of what "life does" always changes. It just depends upon the interpreter.
I can't explain why vaccinations for polio are effective, but I don't question the science. Why would you not accept the wisdom of others in regard to evolution or climate change, when you are quite happy to accept modern medicine when your physician gives you a pill? That said, I do understand climate change science.
It is ferociously complicated and can not be easily condensed into a bite sized explanation for someone with a pea-sized brain who believes in the writings of an inconsistent book.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
