GFI outlets trip when there is an imbalance in current between the line and the neutral. A software update should not have affected it, especially if you've had the same equipment plugged in to the outlet for so long. However, a short (or near short) somewhere could set it off.
It's possible something that's plugged in has an internal short causing the issue. Also, you should be aware that most GFI outlets are installed upstream of other outlets in the circuit, so there could be a problem in another outlet that is tripping the GFI. I would: - Turn off the power at the fuse / breaker MAKE SURE YOU DO THIS EVERY TIME - IF THERE IS A SHORT SOMEWHERE IT COULD HURT YOU IF YOU TOUCH IT - Identify every outlet and everything plugged in to those outlets - Unplug one thing - Turn the power back on - Wait to see if it trips - Repeat until everything is unplugged - If it stops tripping after you unplugged an item, that item is the issue - If it never stops tripping even with everything unplugged, either the GFI or one of the other outlets will need to be replaced.
Call an electrician. They can find out if the GFI is defective or you have a potentially dangerous short circuit.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
