Michael Vick just got out of prison. Should he be allowed to play football again?

It has always amazed me that soo many people can not forgive and move on. Yes what he did was inhumane. However, I read somewhere that "Hating him will not bring the dogs back, but forgiving him will prevent it from happening again" ... that is the attitude we should have.

We all make mistakes. And when you are a person in the publics eye...it just get's brought to attention. So yes, Mr. Vick should be able to play in the NFL again.

Just watching interviews you can see the remorse in his eyes. He is now bankrupt and a joke to the public eyes so I highly doubt this man will be messing up again!

If a team wants him and there are no rules within NFL that prohibit player with prior criminal convictions from participating in the league, then he should play. I think that it is a sad facet of our society that we continue to stigmatize people who have committed crimes after they have served their debt to society. I don't think that the NFL should hold him up as a role model and use him in advertising, unless he does a lot to rehabilitate his personality and make up for his previous behavior. It would be interesting to see him spend all his free time taking care of abused animals at shelters and rescue societies.

If there is a team that thinks he can be marketable (popular) with their fans there is no reason why he shouldn't be allowed to play. We have become too judgemental of people now days. If he has paid his debt, he has paid it.It then becomes up to each individual to decide if they want to move on or not.

S chosen profession is very public and I guess only public opinion will determine if he can make it there or not.

YES he's paid his debt to society by the standards of the law..allowing this man to not "work" go against everything America stands for....However...I don't believe he should own any pets that walk on 4 legs.

OF COURSE! He's one of the most exciting players in football, was over- sentenced in prison time, and at that, has now DID HIS TIME. Hopefully he still WANTS to play in the NFL.

Yeah, it's very sad that people leisurely abuse, and hurt animals, and that's what he did. But, he's surely reformed from this malicious mentality, and even wants to work with the Humane Society.

What he did was surely in humaine, but the interviews he shows clear remorse for his actions. It is unlikely that anyone will use him to advertise though, which is understandable. Unfortunatly he basically embaressed his team, and the NFL so it should be up to the head of the team.

In my opinion I think he should, but he should be on a tight leash. > This reminds me of the Michael Phelps, an olympic swimmer who got suspended because a picture of him taking a hit out of a bong was found. He lost near 80% of his advertising.

But he is allowed to compete after his suspension.

The dogs Michael Vick tortured and killed will never get a second chance, I don't see any reason Michael Vick should.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
