The second wave of feminism did not acknowledge the ways that African American women were discriminated against that were different from the white majority women - not just for being women but for race too. This caused a lot of debate and the theory of intersectionality was then adopted to better understand how race and sexism intersect and make it tougher for African American women. Feminism was reformed to include it - this brought in the 3rd wave of feminism.
Feminism now advocates against both sexism and racism but also against" homophobia, transphobia, ableism, xenophobia, and classism" after adopting intersectionality. A really good explanation is in the second link - describing the diversity in the black feminist movement.
I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
