Do you have to accept critical feminist theory to be a feminist? Can one be a feminist and not believe we live in a patriarchy?

The problem most here just do not get is that feminism is the belief in fairness and equality for women. After that there is debate over tons of issues - feminists are all over the map because it's a philosophy as well as a movement and there is no central authority - only feminist theory which some feminists read and others don't. Therefore, to truly understand feminism you have to accept and understand that there is huge diversity of opinion and debate and to me that is not a bad thing at all but to people who think only in black and white, it is.

EDIT - Sorry equality is not supremacist - you can twist it lots of ways but that is not one.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
