Most terrifying book I have ever read. I can't remember the name. Have been trying to find for years!

Details are iffy, but I think the plot was that a man had come back to his hometown to bury his two parents that were killed in an accident. He either gets a phone call or finds a note telling him that they aren't dead or something like that. I think the note may have been written by them.

I don't remember the rest. Details are foggy because was a voracious reader at the time and drinking a lot. So, actually, I don't remember a lot about that part of my life.

However, this book stood out to me. I could only read it if my boyfriend was staying the night. It terrified me, and I would like to give it another go.

If I remember correctly, it was some big conspiracy. I think the cover was mainly white with like birch trees. I also remember there may have been some red lettering on the cover.It was black, white, and red.

Almost a dreamy picture. I think it came out somewhere between 1997 and 2002. Please, please help me find this book.

Pet Semetary, by Stephen King, is the most terrifying book I have ever read. I actually didn't read Pet Semetary, because I have a vivid memory of my brother reading it and being unable to sleep and going through cold sweats due to it. Then I remember one day watching a movie that came on TV and thinking it was really fascinating, only to have my brother walk in and yell, "Why are you watching Pet Semetary?"

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
