My Chihuahua has no front legs is there anything I can get or make to help poor Rex with a better quality of life-to wal?

A friend just gave him to me, but he is in my mind no different than a child who was born handicapped. Certainly there must be someone who knows what to do.My friend told me he saw a story about 4 other Chihuahuas with the same problem on the news but couldn't remember what channel it was on, so please anyone whom has seen this or knows someone that can help please answer back. Thank you for all your help in advance Asked by newbie7763859 48 months ago Similar questions: Chihuahua front legs make help poor Rex quality life to wal Pets.

I think this is what you're looking for. Here is a site that should be a good place to start. Not only does it have good info about carts, it has a lot of other resources that might be helpful to you.

They seem like they really care about what they do; not just in it for the money. There are a lot of sites out there that make carts for dogs that have back leg problems, but less seems to be available for those with front paw problems. Doggon Front Wheel Cart dogkarts.com/ I think this is the article you were talking about--the one with the three little puppies.

Looks like the carts they got were perfect for them. video.aol.com/video-detail/kanga-huahuas... video.aol.com/video-detail/tnntv-world-n... In fact, after you’ve watched one video about them, if you look to the side, there’s a whole bunch. I hope this helps you and your little one out!.

No front legs I found a site, orthopets.com, which has pictures of a prosthesis they made for a chihuahua with no front legs, just like yours. It looks like something for the dog to rest its chest on, not real legs, but I could be wrong. Check the link and contact them.

Since your dog was BORN that way, and not injured later in life, he might be okay with not having legs. He's never had them, after all. Have you talked to your vet to make sure the missing legs aren't causing any pain to your animal?

Sometimes they have to do a little surgery to fix stumps or whatever and make the animal more comfortable. I am sure that whatever you do for Rex, you will do out of love, and I salute you for taking in this special dog. Good luck.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
