Was wondering because my female has been spayed, and this morning the male (who hasn't been neutered yet, he is under a year old) was actually mating and stuck inside of her...I have heard of instances when they "make a mistake" and don't properly spay the dog.. I think he's just doing what comes naturally. Don't expect puppies.
I didn't think it would be a problem, since he doesn't run around outside and the female had been spayed! This is the first time anything like this has happened! Leenyhus 1 month ago .
Hmm, usually shouldn't happen since if the female was spayed she wouldn't be releasing any hormones to attract a male and he wouldn't do anything if he doesn't think that she can have babies .
Thanks Skyefalcon..that is what I was thinking..I hope they spayed her correctly! Her little "girlie part" is swollen, but she hasn't been bleeding. Leenyhus 28 days ago .
Yeah maybe wait until she's completely healed, and the swelling has gone done. Although, if she's spayed, her "parts" shouldn't be swollen...
The male will try to mount the female even though she doesn't go into heat - it's just instinct on his part. She will not get pregnant, so you don't need to worry about that (unless she is not actually spayed - is it possible someone told you she was but you have not had a vet check? If that is the case, you might take her immediately to the vet to find out that she is indeed spayed.
If she is spayed, she will not get pregnant. But if someone told you that, but she was not, then you definitely could have puppies on the way. If the vet finds that she is not fixed, he can fix her now and that will eliminate the problem of having an unplanned litter, too.
Now, regardless of how that turns out, *I* believe in spaying and neutering ALL pet animals. You just cannot say that an accident would not happen. For instance, your dog may get out one time and female in heat.
The safest way and the ONLY way to eliminate the millions of dogs put down each year in the US is to spay and neuter all dogs going to pet homes. It's just being responsible and making sure that your household will never contribute to the awful stray dog problem. Thanks and good luck!

MaryAnn is right, and you don't have to wait until he's a year old to have him neutered, you can do it anytime after 4 months of age (some say earlier, my vet doesn't agree) .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
