My computer won't recognize my hard drive and it won't let me install an OS on it. My computer will open up to the install menu and it tells me to to press enter to install the OS then it says that there is no hard drive to install onto. The hard drive is recognized in my bios.It tells me the ID the Capacity and that it is controlled by the System BIOS.
But every time I try to install the OS it doesn't work. I formatted the Hard Drive for Windows which is what i'm installing on it. Asked by DanteG 12 months ago Similar questions: computer won't recognize hard drive install OS Computers > Software.

Confirm that the power and data cables are both plugged in tight on each side of the cable. If the drive is IDE, confirm that the jumper is in the correct position. Confirm in the BIOS that the drive is enabled and set as the second boot device (the CD being the first boot device).
All of the cables are in and I did what you said. 1 minute or so to see if it worked DanteG 12 months ago .

Figured it out! My BIOS were set to default and it didn't read that it was a SATA drive so it wasn't working. Thanks!

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
