Plastic retains bacteria and odor. Have you tried a plate? Is there a reason he might not like the location?
Is it a busy area with people walking by? Near the trash? Maybe you could try a new quiet locale?
.
The bowl is ceramic I think and its located in the kitchen near the dining room table. I think that might be the problem its one of the main walk ways in the house. Thank you I will try this.

Good luck! I know the frustration. One of my cats scoops the food out of her bowl to eat it, and if I put it on a plate she stands in it.
Little confusing...... you say your dog won't eat near her food bowl. Then how is she eating if she won't go near it? .
I never said she won't go near it. She takes a few bits of food and then takes it to the living room to eat. BDanyelle 8 months ago .
We made the mistake of acquiring a rescue dog (I'm sorry I agreed to that because it was supposed to be with my daughter, not us. ) That rescue dog has a couple of psychoses, one of which is other animals taking its food. It deals with this fear by going to the bowl, getting a mouthful, and then trotting somewhere else to actually consume that food.
You could place its bowl in a confined space where it eats (or not), and then is removed from that space--and the food--until later. Being hungry a day or two won't kill it, but will begin to train it to eat when it can eat and not go for "take-out. " .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
