My DSL modem is also a b/g/10/100 router. Will a gigabit switch hooked to the uplink work for gigabit capable and still access dsl modem?

Yes. Your systems connected to the switch that are gigabit-capable will speak to each other at 1000MBit/s but will negotiate down to 100MBit/s (or 10MBit/s if the device doesn't do 100) when communicating with your DSL modem/router or any other equipment that is not gigabit-capable. The exception to this truth would be if your systems or switch is configured to ONLY communicate at a certain speed and not set to auto-negotiate.

However, the default setting is always to auto-negotiate so I wouldn't worry about it. It's worth mentioning though.

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
