My friend just bought a brand new Dell computer. Her internet connection seems fine (so the company says) but she keeps getting the "internet explorer cannot display the web page" message - repeatedly. The cable company says all is fine.........any suggestions?

1 Go to Tools, go down to diagnose connection problems and see what it says. If it says no connection problems then try msn explorer (instead of Internet explorer) and download firefox. I'm on XP and IE 7 but hopefully it is pretty much the same.

2 It sounds like me. I've got a Dell too and have had to do a lot of double takes on webpages. Will be interested to see the replies.

4 I have had that problem on many occasions. After checking all the wiring and finding it okay I called the cable. He got me to unplug each cord one at a time, give it a moment or two and then plug it back in make sure it is firmly seated. As he's telling me that stuff, I am sitting here rolling my eyes and wondering where they found that airhead.

This is me slapping the back of both hands--it worked .

5 Try this simple fix:Open Internet Explorer..........Click on Tools.........Internet Options......Security.......Then for each of the four sections ( each has its own icon )...click on the first one........click the default button..click apply...then do the same for the next three...on the last one after doing the above..also CLICK OK.....Now close the explorer.........Restart the computer! That should solve the problem she is having!Blessings..........Annlee .

I cant really gove you an answer, but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest. A good paper is one that people get drawn into because it reaches them ln some way.As for me WW11 to me, I think of the holocaust and the effect it had on the survivors, their families and those who stood by and did nothing until it was too late.
