My friend's boyfriend of three months just told her an old girlfriend of his is in town and will be staying in his apartment. She's totally crushed. What would you do in this situation?

Discuss her feeling about the matter with him that she feels if they are a couple that it is inappropriate for him to not have discussed this with her first before extending the invitation. Yes, it is important to trust one's partner but it is also importnat to respect people's feelings and he clearly did not do this. She should be calm and rational but firm that there are inexpensive motels all over the country and she is sure the girl can find one.

Be a friend and listen to HER vent to get "it" out. Then ask how many times she is willing to feel this way. Your friend's boyfriend just showed her exactly where she stands in their/his "relationship".

This is just one incident, there will be more to folllow - and not to mention the things he's done she doesn't even know about.

I'd stay calm and give a good response I'd tell the guy that it was fine with me because I had been wanting to call an old boyfriend for several months and this would give me the opportunity to do so. I'd suggest that the boyfriend not call for a few days because I'd be planning to spend as much time with my old flame as possible. I'd probably tell him the old boyfriend and I had connected on Facebook or some social site, and he wanted to get together with me also.

That is far harder to do than to just cry and let the guy know he has hurt you, but it will also let you know if you mean a great deal to him. If he says it's great to have an open relationship and you don't want this, then you know it is over. If he quickly changes his plans to include you, you know that you do mean the world to him.

I think I'd be crushed too.....but, depending on the strength of the relationship, I might not jump to conclusions...I think there is nothing wrong with seeing an old girlfriend over dinner or lunch. But, staying at his apartment requires a leap of faith on your friend's part...and only she knows whether the relationship is at a point where she can trust him...on second thought...who am I kidding? I wouldn't trust him either.

If the relationship is a close one, then suggest he stay with your friend while the old girlfriend is in town; or, she could easily be put up in a hotel, at his expense, if necessary. If this is a sign of how little he values your relationship, then you may want to dial things down with him for a while and start dating around again.

I cant really gove you an answer,but what I can give you is a way to a solution, that is you have to find the anglde that you relate to or peaks your interest.
