If its anything like the pound £ shops in the uk its the vast quantities they sell of each item. Lets face it what is the difference between selling an item for £10 or selling 10 items at £1 each, nothing. Its just that shoppers love to shop for bargains and one items seems to lead to a shopping basket full.

In most cases they end up spending more money than they would normally intend to. And of course the items are purchased cheaply because of end of lines and the sheer quantities they buy the price is low.
